আন্তর্জাতিক ফুটবল বন্ধের প্রস্তাব ফিফার/FIFA proposes closure of international football

করোনাভাইরাসের কারণে মার্চ ও এপ্রিল মাসে নির্ধারিত সব ধরনের আন্তর্জাতিক ফুটবল ম্যাচ বন্ধ করে দেবার বিষয়ে সুপারিশ করেছে বিশ্ব ফুটবলের নিয়ন্ত্রন সংস্থা ফিফা। কিছু কিছু ম্যাচ বন্ধের ঘোষণা আসলেও পুরোপুরি বন্ধের কোন বার্তা এখনো ফিফা থেকে দেয়া হয়নি।

তবে মার্চ-এপ্রিলে ক্লাবগুলো তাদের খেলোয়াড়দের জাতীয় দলের জন্য ছেড়ে দেবার ব্যপারে আপত্তি জানাতে পারে বলে ফিফা মত দিয়েছে। ফিফা আরো জানিয়েছে, ২০২২ বিশ্বকাপ বাছাইপর্বে এশিয়া ও দক্ষিণ আমেরিকান অঞ্চলের বাতিল হয়ে যাওয়া ম্যাচগুলোর তারিখ পুনঃনির্ধারণে তারা কাজ শুরু করেছে।

সাধারণত জাতীয় দলের জন্য ক্লাবগুলোর ক্ষেত্রে খেলোয়াড়দের ছেড়ে দেবার আইন রয়েছে। তবে এই আইন সাময়িক ভাবে শিথিল করা হয়েছে বলে ফিফা সূত্র নিশ্চিত করেছে।

FIFA, the world soccer regulatory body, has recommended the closure of all international football matches scheduled for March and April due to coronavirus. The announcement of the closure of some matches was in fact no message from FIFA yet.

However, in March-April, FIFA has suggested that clubs may object to the release of their players for the national team. FIFA also said they have begun work on rescheduling the canceled matches in Asia and South American territories during the 2022 World Cup qualification.

There is usually a law for national teams to release players in the case of clubs. However, FIFA sources confirmed that the law was temporarily relaxed.
