মহামানব বঙ্গবন্ধুর জন্মদিন আজ।
আজ ১৭ মার্চ, মঙ্গলবার। ১৯২০ সালের এই দিনে রাত আটটায় টুঙ্গিপাড়ায় জন্মগ্রহণ করেন শেখ পরিবারের আদরের ‘খোকা’। যিনি ধীরে ধীরে হয়ে উঠেছিলেন বাঙালির ‘মুজিব ভাই’ এবং ‘বঙ্গবন্ধু’। তাঁর হাত ধরেই আসে বাঙালির স্বাধীনতা, জন্ম নেয় বাংলাদেশ। ৫৫ বছর বয়সে কিছু বিপথগামী সেনা কেড়ে নেন তাঁর প্রাণ। কিন্তু দেশের প্রতিটি কোনায় আজ উচ্চারিত হচ্ছে বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানের নাম। আজ শততম জন্মদিনে তাঁর জন্মক্ষণ রাত আটটায় সারা দেশে উৎসবের ফোয়ারা ছোটাবে আতশবাজির ঝলকানি।
‘যদি রাত পোহালে শোনা যেত, বঙ্গবন্ধু মরে নাই...’। জাতির পিতা বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানের মৃত্যু কিংবা জন্মবার্ষিকীতে এ গানটি বাজানো হয় অবধারিতভাবেই। আজও সারা দেশে তা শোনা যাবে। এই গানের আকুতির মতোই সত্যিই যদি বঙ্গবন্ধু মারা না যেতেন, তাহলে আজ শতবর্ষী হতেন তিনি। জনতার নেতা মুজিব না থাকলেও তাঁর আদর্শ ও অনুপ্রেরণা আজও বাঙালির মননে গেঁথে আছে। শ্রদ্ধায়, ভালোবাসায়, কৃতজ্ঞচিত্তে আজ জাতির পিতা বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানকে স্মরণ করবে বাঙালী।

সরকার ১৭ মার্চ থেকে পরবর্তী এক বছরকে ‘মুজিব বর্ষ’ হিসেবে ঘোষণা করেছে। নেওয়া হয়েছে ব্যাপক আয়োজন। আজকের উদ্বোধনী অনুষ্ঠানের জন্য বর্ণাঢ্য সব প্রস্তুতি নেওয়া হয়েছিল। তেজগাঁওয়ের জাতীয় প্যারেড স্কয়ারে উপস্থিত থাকার কথা ছিল ভারতের প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদিসহ দেশি-বিদেশি বরেণ্য ব্যক্তিদের। কিন্তু এ অনুষ্ঠানটি হচ্ছে না। জনতার নেতার জন্মদিনের এই উপলক্ষটা জনতার ঢল দিয়েই আয়োজন করার কথা ছিল। কিন্তু বিশ্বব্যাপী করোনাভাইরাসের আতঙ্ক সেই উদ্যাপনে ছেদ টেনেছে। অনুষ্ঠান বর্ণাঢ্য রাখারই চেষ্টা আছে। কিন্তু জনতার উপস্থিতি এড়ানো হচ্ছে। জনগণের স্বাস্থ্যঝুঁকির কথা বিবেচনা করেই এমন কর্মসূচি। বেশির ভাগ কর্মসূচি টেলিভিশন ও সামাজিক যোগাযোগমাধ্যমে সম্প্রচার করা হবে।
বঙ্গবন্ধুর স্বদেশ প্রত্যাবর্তনের দিন ১০ জানুয়ারি থেকেই জন্মশতবর্ষের ক্ষণগণনা শুরু হয়েছে। রাজধানী ঢাকাসহ প্রতিটি জেলা, উপজেলা ও জনপরিসরে ক্ষণগণনার জন্য কাউন্টডাউন ঘড়ি বসানো হয়েছে। ক্রিকেট ফ্র্যাঞ্চাইজি লিগ বিপিএল এবার বঙ্গবন্ধুর নামে আয়োজন করা হয়। বিদেশে অবস্থিত বাংলাদেশের ৭৭টি দূতাবাসে ২৬১টি অনুষ্ঠানের পরিকল্পনা নেয়।
১৯২০ সালের ১৭ মার্চ তদানীন্তন ফরিদপুর মহকুমার গোপালগঞ্জের টুঙ্গিপাড়ায় শেখ লুৎফর রহমান এবং মাতা সায়েরা খাতুনের ঘর আলোকিত করে জন্মগ্রহণ করেন শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান। চার বোন এবং দুই ভাইয়ের মধ্যে তিনি ছিলেন তৃতীয়। বাংলাদেশকে যখন অর্থনৈতিক মুক্তির পথে এগিয়ে নিয়ে যাচ্ছিলেন, তখনই ১৯৭৫ সালের ১৫ আগস্ট একদল বিপথগামী সেনার হাতে প্রাণ হারান বঙ্গবন্ধু।
বঙ্গবন্ধুর জন্মবার্ষিকীটি জাতীয় শিশু দিবসও। দিবসটি উপলক্ষে আজ সরকারি ছুটি। বাংলাদেশ টেলিভিশন, বেসরকারি টিভি চ্যানেল এবং সংবাদপত্রগুলোতে বিশেষ আয়োজন করা হয়েছে।
বঙ্গবন্ধুর শতবর্ষ উপলক্ষে রাষ্ট্রপতি আবদুল হামিদ তাঁর বাণীতে বলেন, ‘বঙ্গবন্ধু আমাদের মাঝে নেই। কিন্তু তাঁর আদর্শ আমাদের চিরন্তন প্রেরণার উৎস। তাঁর নীতি ও আদর্শ প্রজন্ম থেকে প্রজন্মান্তরে ছড়িয়ে পড়ুক, গড়ে উঠুক সাহসী, ত্যাগী ও আদর্শবাদী নেতৃত্ব—এ প্রত্যাশা করি।’
প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা তাঁর বাণীতে বলেন, ‘জাতির পিতার অসমাপ্ত কাজ সমাপ্ত করার প্রত্যয়ে আমরা অঙ্গীকারবদ্ধ। রূপকল্প ২০২১ ও ২০৪১ এবং ডেল্টা প্ল্যান-২১০০ বাস্তবায়নের মাধ্যমে আমরা জাতির পিতার স্বপ্নের ক্ষুধা-দারিদ্র্যমুক্ত ও সুখী-সমৃদ্ধ সোনার বাংলাদেশ গড়ে তুলতে নিরলসভাবে কাজ করে যাচ্ছি।’
আজ যত আয়োজন
মূল আয়োজন করছে জাতির পিতা বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানের জন্মশতবার্ষিকী উদ্যাপন বাস্তবায়ন জাতীয় কমিটি। করোনাভাইরাস পরিস্থিতির কারণে উদ্বোধনী অনুষ্ঠান সাজানো হয়েছে কোনো ধরনের জনসমাগমের ব্যবস্থা না রেখে। বঙ্গবন্ধুর জন্মক্ষণের সঙ্গে মিল রেখে রাত আটটায় সোহরাওয়ার্দী উদ্যানে আতশবাজির প্রদর্শনীর মাধ্যমে অনুষ্ঠান শুরু হবে। সেই অনুষ্ঠান সরাসরি টেলিভিশনে প্রচার করা হবে। এই অনুষ্ঠানের নাম দেওয়া হয়েছে ‘মুক্তির মহানায়ক’। এরপর জাতীয় সংগীতের পর রাষ্ট্রপতি ভাষণ দেবেন। এরপর থাকবে শত শিশুর কণ্ঠে গান।
সোমবার আন্তর্জাতিক মাতৃভাষা ইনস্টিটিউট মিলনায়তনে সংবাদ সম্মেলনে উদ্যাপন কমিটির প্রধান সমন্বয়ক কামাল আবদুল নাসের চৌধুরী কর্মসূচির কথা জানান। তিনি বলেন, প্রধানমন্ত্রী এরপর জাতির উদ্দেশে ভাষণ দেবেন। বঙ্গবন্ধুর ছোট মেয়ে শেখ রেহানা ব্যক্ত করবেন তাঁর অনুভূতি। শেখ রেহানার লেখা কবিতা আবৃত্তি করবেন বড় বোন শেখ হাসিনা। বঙ্গবন্ধুকে নিয়ে যে থিম সং করা হয়েছে, সেটি গেয়ে শোনাবেন শিল্পীরা। শেখ রেহানাও সেখানে কণ্ঠ দিয়েছেন।
কামাল আবদুল নাসের চৌধুরী জানান, বিভিন্ন দেশের রাষ্ট্রপ্রধান ও সরকারপ্রধানদের রেকর্ড করা ভাষণ সম্প্রচার করা হবে। জাতিসংঘ ও ওআইসি মহাসচিবের পাশাপাশি ভারত, নেপাল, ভুটানের প্রধানমন্ত্রীর ভাষণ থাকবে সেখানে। এরপর জাতীয় সংসদের দক্ষিণ প্লাজায় হবে পিক্সেল ম্যাপিং, সেখানে থাকবে লেজার শো। এ ছাড়া রাজধানীর বিভিন্ন স্থানে দুই সিটি করপোরেশন আতশবাজির প্রদর্শনীর আয়োজন করবে।
বিকেল পাঁচটায় গণভবনে মুজিব বর্ষের স্মারক ডাকটিকিট ও স্মারক উন্মোচন করবেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা।

বঙ্গবন্ধুর দল আওয়ামী লীগ বিস্তারিত কর্মসূচি নিয়েছে। মঙ্গলবার ভোর সাড়ে ছয়টায় বঙ্গবন্ধু ভবন, আওয়ামী লীগের কেন্দ্রীয় কার্যালয় এবং সারা দেশে সংগঠনের কার্যালয়ে জাতীয় ও দলীয় পতাকা উত্তোলন করা হবে। সকাল সাতটায় বঙ্গবন্ধু ভবন প্রাঙ্গণে জাতির পিতার প্রতিকৃতিতে শ্রদ্ধা নিবেদন করা হবে।
সকাল ১০টায় প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার নেতৃত্বে আওয়ামী লীগের কেন্দ্রীয় নেতারা টুঙ্গিপাড়ায় চিরনিদ্রায় শায়িত বঙ্গবন্ধুর সমাধিতে শ্রদ্ধার্ঘ্য নিবেদন করবেন। এরপর দোয়া ও মিলাদ মাহফিলে অংশ নেবেন। মসজিদ, মন্দির, প্যাগোডা, গির্জাসহ সব ধর্মীয় প্রতিষ্ঠানে দেশব্যাপী বিশেষ প্রার্থনা কর্মসূচি পালন করা হবে।
দুপুর ১২টায় আজিমপুর এতিমখানা, কড়াইল বস্তি, ২৩ বঙ্গবন্ধু অ্যাভিনিউয়ে অসহায়, দুস্থ ও এতিমদের মধ্যে খাবার, বস্ত্র ও মিষ্টি বিতরণ করা হবে। বাদ আসর রাজধানীর প্রতিটি ওয়ার্ডে দুস্থ ব্যক্তিদের মধ্যে খাবার ও মিষ্টি বিতরণ করার কর্মসূচি রয়েছে আওয়ামী লীগের।
রাত আটটায় বঙ্গবন্ধু ভবনের সামনে, ২৩ বঙ্গবন্ধু অ্যাভিনিউয়ে, ধানমন্ডির রবীন্দ্রসরোবর, হাতিরঝিল, সোহরাওয়ার্দী উদ্যান, টিএসসি ও জাতীয় সংসদ ভবন এলাকায় আতশবাজি প্রদর্শনী হবে।
